Program to completely format iphone 4?

I have an iphone that has a passowrd on it, i do not have the orginal computer it used synced to as i recently formatted it and can't remember my password, is there a program or way to totally format everything on there including the password?

Added (1). I can't use itunes because i don't know the passcode and tiny umbrellas log keeps saying accepting connections is it doing anything?

Hold down the 'power on' button and the 'home' button for 10 seconds, have it plugged into your computer, this will reset everything, otherwise go on Itunes > reset > Do you want to save (current state) as backup > NO.
= Done

You can restore it in iTunes. You need to enter recovery mode since it has a passcode. This is not dangerous.

Alternatively download and run this program, with the iPhone powered on and connected. Click Enter Recovery. If it gets stuck and you don't know what it is doing, click exit recovery, or kick out of DFU mode.
NOTE: if you do use this tool, and you plan to do a restore, before exiting, go to the Advanced tab, and make sure you UNCHECK "Request SHSH from Cydia".
