Recovering iPhone photos after reset?

Shortly after Christmas I decided to reset my iPhone back to factory settings. I copied and pasted the photo folders from my phone documents (a window appeared when I synched the phone, much like when I put in an SD card, to look through photos etc) onto my computer beforehand. I'm not sure if I backed up my phone though.

Unfortunately my cat passed away this week and I have been looking through those folders I copied and pasted and some of my photos of her are missing. And I know 100% that I wouldn't have deleted them on my phone or on the computer. I've also checked my photo stream but that seems to have started over from just before it was reset so unfortunately none of the photos I'm looking for are there.

Is there any chance that the photos could be hiding somewhere on the computer? Is there a program I can use to possibly get them back? I know this is unlikely but I figured it was worth a shot…

Added (1). It's an iPhone 4S and is up to date with the latest iOS software.

After restore iPhone, all your personal data like pictures, messages, contacts will be erased.
But don't worry! Though iPhone uses quite a different storage mechanism, still you can recover deleted or lost data (such as text messages, contacts, photos etc) with a third party specific iPhone data recovery software called Tenorshare iPhone Data Recovery. I used it to recover lost pictures and contacts from restored iPhone 4s and it worked.

  • Reversing a revert on itunes or recovering my photos? I have an iPhone 4 that I hooked up to my computer earlier. However it did not prompt for a backup and I accidentally reverted it to a back up from months ago. Is there anyway I can recover my photos? I'm trying dr fone but I don't know if that is helping?
  • Recovering pictures from Iphone text threads? I want to pull up pictures I've sent and received from old text messages. I wanted to see if anyone knows of any safe programs I could use to recover those. I have a windows computer and an iPhone 4S.
  • Recovering photos from photostream? I have an iphone 5s and had a lot of pictures on my photostream. They all delete over time. Can I only have a certain amount of photos on photostream and they automatically delete once there's to much? Is there any way I can get the pictures back? Also by the way the pictures were never backed up on my computer and they aren't on my camera role
  • Recovering photos from a water damaged iPhone X? I recently got back from a trip and on it my phone accidentally went snorkeling with me in the sea. It's completely dead (doesn't turn on or show any forms of life, iTunes doesn't even recognize it when plugged in to my computer). I was in Cuba with no access to Wi-Fi meaning iCloud couldn t back up my phone on the trip. Because of this, I lost all my photos of the trip. I (clearly) know my chances are basically nell, but does anyone know of any software or store that could help?
