Replace iphone 5 speaker and volume down button? Fix it or something?
So this morning I dropped my phone in the toilet with an otterbox case on it. Everything is fine except for my speakers, one of which is full sounding and the other doesn't work at all. My volume down button also doesn't work. What do I do? I've had my phone since January
Well…
1) Water Damage voids warranty… So "no-go" there…
2) If you have wireless insurance, you can file a $199 claim and get a new iphone 5 shipped to your in 3-5 days… Or pay an extra 14.95 for priority mail. Simply call your wireless carrier, Apple, or Asurion Wireless Insurance
3) If you failed to get wireless insurance on your account, then your are 10000000000000000000% screwed! And Since you got the phone in January like you said, you can't upgrade… So "no-go" there…
4) So… You have no insurance… No upgrade… If you have $150, you can take it to someone like me, who will fix your phone. $150 covers parts and labor. Price may go up to $300-$400 depending of there are other components that have damage and you approve them to be fixed.
5) If you don't wanna go that route… Then cough up $300-$999 a new/used iphone 2G/3G/3GS/4/4S/5/5C/5S… Price varies depending on new vs used, GB model, age of phone, locked vs factory unlocked vs hacked unlocked, seller asking price, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
- Why is my new iPhone 8 freezing the music on the lock screen and turning the volume up and down itself? When I'm listening to music and then click home to light up the screen to change a song or whatever the song will be almost over and it'll say it's at 0:30 seconds? And then when I go to Instagram it just turns the volume up and down without me pressing any volume buttons?
- Where do I take my iPhone 5 if the volume down button doesn't work? I got the phone like 5 months ago and the button has been broken for about 2 months but now that it's summer and I have more time for music/phone in general it's starting to make me very angry. So would I take it to the Apple store or the Verizon store where I bought the phone?

The white speaker thing didn't pop up. It's weird though, because I can shake my phone, and it rattles, and when it rattles into a certain spot, the - volume button works again.
