Resetting an iPhone's password when it's in set up mode?
My iPhone 4S was freaking out all night and I decided to restore it as an attempt to fix it. The next day, the phone was finished restoring. My friend and his little brother came over. His little brother thought it would be funny to put in a random code, so you can imagine how annoyed I was when my phone asked for the password and the fact that he forgot what the code was. Also, I won't be able to restore the phone again because it won't connect to my laptop and I wouldn't be able to restore it while it's still in set up mode.
Go to the Apple store and customer service will be able to reset the phone.
You could do it by iTunes and do install Leo Privacy Guard so as to make your device absolutely secure.
- IPhone 5 doesn't have a Passcode Lock option in the settings. How do I set a password? When I go to Settings, and then General, the only options available are Auto-Lock and Restrictions. I just got the phone today. What can I do?
- I set an iPhone restrictions password on my phone, but forgot it? My younger nephew was borrowing my phone for the week, so I turned restrictions on. But, I forgot the password. I have 9 failed attempts, what happens if I get to 10? I know the phone will be wiped, but does that mean everything will be put to factory settings, or that I can't use my phone at all, or I won't be able to guess the password anymore? Sidenote- Non-jail broken iPhone 3GS, iOS 6.0.1. And I don't own a computer and I can't restore it from one anyway.
- I bought my daughter an iphone 5c.Do i set up the Apple id/password first, or buy the plan, then set it up? I have bought Iphones before. But i didn't set them up. Do i by the plan, usually $40.00 first, then do the Apple id/password? Or vice versa?
- How to set my iPhone into recovery mode without the power button? I have an iPhone 5 and want to get rid of the iOS 9 beta. But you need to put it on recovery mode and the sleep/power button doesn't work. Is there anything Else I can do to have it go into recovery mode?
