Resetting your apple iphone?
I reset my apple iphone 4s tonight and it reset fine but now when the phone is turning on it is just a black screen with the white apple and I don't know what to do? Someone help?
It may be updating, leave it powered on for an hour or two.
Go get a Windows Phone LoL
Hold down the lock/power button at the top and the home button at the same time until the screen blinks (as if it's restarting).
If there's a progress bar under the Apple and it's not progressing this will also work.
If it keeps freezing in the bootup then do the above BUT keep holding the home button after it blinks and the screen will stay black, after like 12 or 13 seconds you can let go of the home button BTW but it's now in DFU mode, connect it to iTunes and go through the prompts to repair it.

- Setting up an iPhone after resetting it without using previous apple id? Ok, so my title doesn't really make sense but here's my situation. I recently sold an iPhone 4 on ebay and obviously I want to reset it. However, I have been told that after you reset it, you'll have to use the original apple ID you started with. Is this true? If it is, how do I do make it so that you can use any apple ID to set it up?
