Returning a company i-phone. Would like to remove personal info. Should I reset all settings or erase all content & settings advice
Go to Find My iPhone and remove the phone from the list of your devices. Then use the "Erase All Content and Settings" tool on your phone. Finally, check that your iCloud account no longer lists the phone and then remove and discard the SIM. If your company insists on getting the SIM back then take it out, pop the SIM in a microwave oven on any power setting for half a second and then re-insert the now useless SIM.
Erase all content and settings.
Yes. Completely wipe the phone and if it is their SIM, clear that as well.
Erase all content.
Resetting the settings, does just that. Accounts would be still signed in.
- When you erase an iphone of all of its content & settings, does this mean EVERYTHING is wiped? I wiped my old iphone because i got the new 6s. So my icloud is in use on my current phone, but i wanted to know, that since i wiped out my old on. Does that mean it would be safe to give it to a family member or close friend to use? Without having my personal info. On it?
