Returning iPhone 5 after 5 days of use?

Yo i recently upgraded from my iPhone 4 to the 5. Although the phone is fantastic i have found 2 faults in the phone.
Firstly a fairly small scratch on the back of the phone, as it came out of the box, which at first didn't bother me but it kind of is now haha.
Also a small blue dead pixel in the screen, only seen when the phone is booting up (with the black screen). These are fairly small issues but i'm not too keen on their presence only 5 days of owning the phone.

Would apple provide a new phone or the same one with repairs? Also would i return it to my network provider or apple directly?
Lastly what is the best screen protector for the iphone 5?

Added (1). Also the rattle noise made by the back of the phone when tapped/shaked, although this is common.

Hi, yes you should take it back. They will replace the unit with another one.

You should return it back to the network provider as they will contact Apple if need be, since it's only 5 days old it'll be covered by the warranty so you shouldn't have to pay.
Also a screen protector is a screen protector so any one will do
