Rice not helping wet iPhone?
I had my iPhone3GS connected to a car charger, and it fell into the cooler full of water without me noticing. It could have been in there for at least 5-15min. I got home and put the phone into a bowl of rice. It had been flickering with light, but now there's no light): it won't turn on and I don't think the rice is helping. I don't have a license so I can't go get alcohol to put it in): please give me other ideas): thank you)
We put it in rice to absorb moisture from phone. But it's a different story for iphone since it was busted as soon as it touched the water.
I know this is weird but I have wrapped a phone n clear cooking wrap. Stuck it in the freezer but make sure you wrap it tight. I left it there over night and it made ny phone work next day.

Why in the world would you use rice? I live in AZ it is hot out so I stick any electronic that gets wet outside. The hot air makes all the condensation in the phone evaporate. If you can't put it outside use a hair dryer but don't make it too hot. You don't want to melt anything. Once all the moisture is gone it should work. If is doesn't, it has Ben fried and you need a new phone.

- Will rice save my iphone after getting wet? My iphone was accidentally dropped in a toilet bowl and i immediately picked it up for just a few second. Then i turned it off. Then i wiped if off and even gently shaking it to try to free any trapped water inside. After 10mins i turned my iphone on and i can hardly swipe and touch it, i tried to restart it until i decided to just shut if off and soaked in in a bag of rice. I don't know if it's effective.
- Will or work if I put my iPhone in a rice bowl after a month of it getting wet? About a month ago my phone got sweat on the screen or it was too humid and hot and so the screen turned white with vertical lines on it but after 10 minutes it would go back to normal and now it does the same thing every morning. Will it still work to put it in a rice bowl?
- What's the occupation called for helping design an iPhone? I think it would be so much fun to help design in the making of iPhones. But really any electronic would do, I just want to design things. So what is this occupation called?
