RunKeeper or Nike + Running App?
So, I have both of these apps that I use for running and I love them both. However, I don't need both and can't use at the same time and I really just need one app to track my progress. I'm an avid runner and I was just wondering which do you all prefer? Also, on either, is there an option to manually put in your information from a run? Like time, distance, etc. I don't like to run with my Iphone because I'm afraid of breaking it or sweating on it. I have an ipod touch though that I usually run with, but the gps doesn't work on it where I live. I'm just looking for running suggestions? I need something to track my distance and time for me to see how I improve.
Ok, Um… IPod Touch's don't have GPSs. I wish they did.
If you decide to run with your phone (btw, that's not a bad idea - its about the same size as an iPod touch and if you step off a curb and sprain your ankle you can call a friend or a taxi. Also if muggers are chasing you, you can call the police, or throw your phone in the bushes and while the mugger are looking for it, you can run away) you should use RunKeeper. You can also use Nike + with your phone - its just a matter of personal preference - they both do abut the same thing. Personally I like the Nike web site better. If you don't want to run with your phone you need to buy the Nike+ sensor (about $20), attach it to your shoe, and then use the Nike + app with your touch. I use the Nike + app on my iPod nano.
If you don't run with nike shoes that have the nike+ You have to use the RunKeeper app. If you run with nike shoes you can buy a small thing to put in your shoes.
- Why won't my Nike + shoes calibrate to my iPhone 4s? Do I need a receiver or something? It told me to walk around to activate the sensor but i walked around for a good 15 minutes and it didn't calibrate… Am i doing something wrong or is there another gadget i need?
- Nike+ Running App on the iPhone 4 (problem)? I have a Nike account and I signed in all right. I got to the screen that says "Run Setup" and I set it up as a Basic run with no music and no 'cheers'. But when I tap Begin Run nothing happens. The screen just stays as it was before and no matter how many times I press the button nothing will happen. For any clarification, I'm using an iPhone 4.
- Nike iD women's customisable shoes, size mix up when add to cart? Hi so I just designed my Nike shoes, Nike dunk high iD, and I put in my size (uk) and then added to cart and it changed to 3 sizes down? Is it changed from American or European sizes to British or vise versa? Do I trust what it says in the cart or do I trust what size I picked? Is there some way of working this out? I've tried on an iPhone and Samsung tablet but iPhone goes up in size tablet goes down, I don't get it, what do I do? Had anyone else had this?
- Nike+ carrying iPhone with you? I just bought the Nike Free Run running trainers and bought the Nike+ sensor with them. I've got the Nike + iPod app, but do I have to run with my iPhone for my progress and stats to be counted or can I just connect my sensor, start the time on the workout on my iPhone and then leave my iPhone at home?
