Save amount of Internet usage on iPhone?

I just got a text from my cell network saying I've used over 75% of my data plan for the month already. I don't know how this is possible because I don't even use it for Internet as much as I could… What can I do to cut back the usage?

Restarting frequently will close out of all apps that could be using background data. Also, if not in use, you can go into Settings > General > Cellular and shut your Cellular data off completely. This'll ensure no data is used.

  • What is (does) and unlocked iphone (do)? Phones internet usage? I currently own a mytouch 3g phone. I want to upgrade to a better smartphone without having to pay out the A$$. My friend told me to go on ebay and get an "unlocked" iphone. What does "unlocked" mean cell phone wise? I use T-Mobile currently, could an unlocked iphone be used with T-Mobile? How i get internet currently on my mytouch is that i connect to my home Wi-Fi router. Can the iphone do this as well? Or will i have to pay extra for internet use?

  • Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
