What Can I Do To Save Data Usage?
I'm Getting An iPhone For Christmas And I Wanna Know What Can I Do To Save Data So I Won't Go Overboard.
~Thanks~
Connect to Wi-Fi when available - using Wi-Fi doesn't use your data.
Just switch off the mob data wen u dnt require and turn it on wen u requir
When you browse the internet make sure that you disable the images. This will not only help you save data but will also help you browse faster.
Don't use it
Don't use youtube or another Websites like that.
Always connect to Wi-Fi whenever possible; many places have free Wi-Fi available and use it in your home.
Streaming video will eat bandwidth very fast- stay away from Youtube/Netflix/etc. Whenever possible. So will picture-heavy apps, like Facebook.
Uninstall apps you don't use, so they're not running anything in the background.
Do all your initial installs (email, Facebook, etc.) while connected to Wi-Fi so that you're not downloading the biggest initial chunks of stuff on data. Same with OS updates and app installs.
Use a data tracking app (I think Apple builds one into their OS now) to see what culprits are using the most data.
The first month or two, use what you've got and maybe a few other apps; don't go overboard. Once you have a few months' worth of use, you can figure out if you're already close to limit (and shouldn't do much more) or if you're way under and it's safe to add more.
- Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
- Save amount of Internet usage on iPhone? I just got a text from my cell network saying I've used over 75% of my data plan for the month already. I don't know how this is possible because I don't even use it for Internet as much as I could… What can I do to cut back the usage?
- Is it possible to save iphone games save on backup? Hey i'm going to send my iphone to apple, I would like to know if I can backup my games data so when my iphone comes back i can continue the games from where i left
- IPhone: settings cell usage vs AT&T's data usage number? AT&T has a number, by calling it will send you a text message telling you how much usage you have used on your data. But also in the iPhone there's a cellular usage count in the settings app which also tells how much data you have used. Both of my cellular usage counts are different. Which is right?
