Seawater Damage to iPhone 5c what can i do?

I went to the beach and was pretty far from the water, I was using my phone and would put it in my bag when I was done. I walked over to a friend to get more sunscreen when all of a sudden this huge wave took over all of our stuff including my cloth bag and phone. My phone still worked other than the speaker but we all know seawater is extremely damaging & my phone is basically done. I purchased my iPhone 5c from Verizon in October 2013, of course water damage isn't included in any warranties. How much would an out of warranty replacement cost? How do I know it's eligible for an out of warranty replacement? What else could I do if I'm not eligible for one?

  • Can you use AppleCare+ for the iPhone if you get water damage? I've had my iphone4 for about three days and this morning I dropped it in the toilet. I had an otter box on it and I wiped the water off and put it in rice (NOT minute rice) I have the AppleCare+ warranty for a year. Does water damage count? Will I be able to get a new one from them for 50$ because it was an accident and it says no where on the site that water damage doesn't count for AppleCare+. Warranty and AppleCare are different
  • Can you damage your iPhone by charging it too often? I've recently bought an iPhone 4S and I'm really worried about damaging it. Could it get damaged by charging it too often? Or could it get damaged by using it too often? Is it good to let it run completely out of charge from time to time? I make sure I turn it off every night to try and stop it getting ruined.
  • Can you damage your iPhone 4 battery so it doesn't charge? I had a screen replaced and since my iPhone charges at the slowest rate. I had it charging all night and it did 12%. Prior to it being fixed I tried myself on a couple of occasions. What could be wrong with it - please help!
  • Can you fix a iphone 4s with water damage? I did the rice trick but nothing so is their another way to fix it or a place where they can fix it and how much $$$ with it cost
