Selling a lost/stolen list iphone?

I found this iphone 4 at a party and i have been trying to find out who's it is. I called verizon and they said it was reported lost or stolen. I swear i didn't steal it by the way, but now that i have it there's nothing i can do with it. I tried to call the number that was on the phone and it is disconnected. I was thinking i might as well sell it to someone who could jailbreak it and sell it like that but i don't know anywhere to sell it besides craigslist. Any suggestions?

I'd turn it into att or whoever. But if you feel you must sell it try one of those sites you see on tv. Gazelle or what not.

You can't activate a lost/stolen iPhone.

Return it to Verizon or an Apple store.

Check the number see If you recognise It, then return It. If you don't know the number, hand phone Into police reporting Is as lost, telling them where you found It so they can try and return It. For some people, most of us actually, our mobile phone Is our lifeline (I know mine Is) or phone at&t to make It traceable so Its owner can locate It
