Ship iphone internationally avoiding customs costs?
I'm living in the Czech republic and want to avoid paying expensive importing costs, can I buy an iPhone off ebay and have it sent to a friend in america, and have them send it to me, but to avoid customs I could have them mark the phone as a gift, or I could have them put the value at 50$ for example and list the phone is broke? To avoid paying high fees?
It's doubtful your customs workers will fall for it. Most don't.
Since customs officers can open packages to check the contents, it will be quite easy for them to see that it is <<not>> broken.

What you are asking about doing is <<illegal>>. If you want the phone, pay the costs. Period.
You must have one heck of a friend to be willing to break federal law to save you a few bucks. It's a shame you're not such a good friend yourself, to make such a selfish request.
Don't ask an eBay seller to do this for you. If they're smart, they'll block you without a response and report you to eBay.
