Shiuld I wait for the new iPhone 5s to be released or buy the iPhone 5 now?

My in store upgrade isn't until august, but i can get an upgrade through the phone on july 8. I will not buy the iphone 5s, i wanted to know if the iphone 5 price will drop and to where? What would you do? I have a regular "dumb" phone and have never had an iphone.

The 5S or whatever it'll be called is expected to be announced in September with availability late September. Yes, the previous model, the 5, will almost certainly drop in price although not greatly.

Personally I have the 4S and saw no significant benefit to upgrading to the 5. I'm waiting to see what the 5S has to offer. BTW, a lot of people are currently getting the 4S at a great discount, and not buying the 5. My Verizon store clerk told me they are selling (as of a couple of months ago) more 4S models than 5 models. The 4S is a great bargain and runs iOS6 just like the 5. Same apps.

Since this iPhone question is posted in the "automotive section", i would say you need to buy a car first, since a "dumb" phone maybe just what you need to keep for a while

If you already have a iPhone that is Registered in your name its possible to up grade and not have to pay the full cost of the phone you up grade to.
