Should I Believe Him or Not?

I've been talking to a guy for a little over two weeks now. We talk and text every day. He really seemed to be into me and he initiated most if not all of the calling, so I know that he was really interested in me. He was really talking a lot of relationship talk and telling me how into me he was. We wound up going out the other night and had a nice time. Unfortunately, yes… I was intimate with him but he told me minutes there after "I would like for you to start spending the night sometimes and you could even leave your work clothes here when you do. I'm not sharing you with you anyone else because I'm really liking you even more now. And I really really hope that you don't one night me" I reassured him that it was not the case at all.

So we talked Monday and Tuesday all day(with him initiating all of the contact) and he even called me Tuesday night to tell me good night because he wanted to hear my voice before he went to bed. He asked me to call or text him yesterday morning and I did exactly that but he didn't respond. We went all day and didn't talk and then I got concerned for him and called twice and left two texts to which he didn't respond. He had previously requested friendship on facebook, so i checked and saw he was online. So from there I left it alone.

I have no idea what the heck just happened. I had no indication on Tuesday that we wouldn't talk anymore since he asked me call and text him in the morning.

Yesterday morning he texted me asking for me to come by his job. I told him I was working and I couldnt. And he proceeds to tell me about how he made a delivery to a customers house and left his phone at their house and the person attempted to steal it from him. He only recovered it through iPhone finder and he apologized that I didn't hear from him but that was the truth. I'm not sure what to make of it to be honest.

He is being truthful

I don't know. This seems sketchy to me. I would believe him for now, but proceed with A LOT of caution. If this pattern continues (him not answering the phone when you call and taking days to get back to you), I know I would start to wonder what is going on. Is he seeing someone else? Is he not that into you? Is he stringing you along? I think these are all things you need to think about if he keeps acting shady.
