Should i buy a new dslr or buy the new iPhone?
I'm thinking of upgrading my current dslr by buying the canon 70d. The thing is, i don't use my camera very often, so there will be times wherein i don't use my camera at all for a long period of time.
so I'm thinking instead of buying the dslr, maybe i can just buy the iPhone 6 plus. But the thing with buying the 6 plus is, my phone still works fine, so i don't really need a new iPhone.
i know this is not a very urgent question but what do you guys think i should get? Canon 70d or iPhone 6 plus?
any help will be appreciated
The Canon 70D will impress the ladies more, and you won't get constantly annoyed with text messages or unsolicited phone calls.
Please NO IPHONE 6 (not because i'm an apple hater, i'm using a mac right now)
lol all the bend tests their hysterical
if i were you, i'd go for the canon 70d even if you don't use it
Neither one. You don't have a good reason, according to you, to make either purchase. Save your money for when you really need it.
I'm not convinced you NEED either. If you have money to burn and want a new toy then buy the one you want more.
I'm with various others (retiredPhil, BriaR). Why buy something you don't need? Sure the Western economy is based on people buying the latest gizmo, but if what you've got works fine or is hardly used then why get something new?
Buy the phone.
You won't improve on the pictures anyway. The old camera will do just fine.
If you think you would use your current camera more if you had more lenses, then buy a second lens, one you know will add to your enjoyment of photography.
If you already have a smart phone, just use it until it dies and then consider upgrading it at the end of your service contract.
Sounds like you're considering the new iPhone because you want better image quality than your current smartphone. You will notice anything different between most of the smartphones on the market today.
If you're not going to use the DSLR and you don't like the image quality of your phone, how about a happy medium? A compact camera in the 200-300 price range. Cheap enough to justify buying something that isn't going to be used all the time and much better image quality. Plus it's a lot cheaper than a new phone too leaving a few bucks in your wallet to buy the latest version Call of Duty.
If you really don't need the phone or the camera, I would use the extra money burning a say a hole in your pocket for a 50-200mm lens. This was my second lens. Then I needed close-ups as in flowers, etc=100mm macro lens. My third lens. Then a special portrait lens (for older people= more flattering pix's) the 70mm (=a 105mm in 35mm terms). For my forth lens!
- Will an iphone microphone work on a dslr camera? I have a canon 600d and i need to get a mic, will an iphone mic like the iRig work on my camera? If not what microphone should i get? I don't want an expensive one cause i won't be using it a lot it's just for a school project.
- Will an examiner be able to tell the difference between pictures taken by the iPhone X or a DSLR camera? I'm doing GCSE photography and I have a really high quality moblie camera. However, I was instructed to use a DLSR camera. (Keep in mind when taking photos I will take them in the optimum conditions for iPhone cameras.) Do you think I could fake it?
- Wht to buy an iphone 5s or a dslr camera? I wanna buy a gadget but donno wht to buy as i want both mobile and a dslr camera. But not possible to buy both. In mobiles I have iphone 5s as my option, rit now I'm using Samsung galaxy grand so is it worth upgrading to iphone 5s? If not thn in dslr camera's suggestions please. I like to do photography also.
- Which one do you prefer, dslr or iphone? For those who have both iphone&a dslr, which one do you think is more useful& especially which one do you love more? And to those who have neither, which one do you fancy more?
