the iphone 5 has a way longer lasting battery bthen other smartphones and is easier to use
even if you have never owned a itouch system and better quality
From personal standpoint, I would say no. They are a few differences between the iPhones from the past with the iPhone 5. Yes, it has LTE and a slightly larger screen, but the entire user interface has been the same since the first iPhone ever, which I find quite boring.
If you are an Apple fan, then no other phone will make you happy. In that case, yes buy it.
However, if you are open to other options, I highly recommend other platforms, such as Android or even Windows Phone 8. My choice would be Android, simply because of how open it and how powerful it has become. Screens upto 5.5 inches and quad-core processors with 2 gigabytes of ram is simply stunning. You may think that Android lags or it has poor battery life, but with the new models, it doesn't even hiccup once.
Whether your an Apple fan or not, I strongly urge you to go to a store and test Android (with the same price tag) before you make your decision. Also try Windows Phone 8 if you have the chance.
The most important thing is that it fits you. Each person has a different taste and it should be satisfied when buying such expensive items. Don't buy an iPhone just because it is so popular. Buy it because you like it.

IPhone 5! Best phone i've ever had. Yes doesn't have everything a samsung phone has but Apple likes to take there time and get things right.

Bought an iPhone. Wasted big bucks. Not really happy with it as I'm a previous iPhone 4S owner, and there really isn't that much of a difference between those two phones. Well, I live in a place where LTE isn't available yet, so the speed between the 5 & the 4s are almost a like (the 5 being faster by a mili second).
Try checking out other phones---the Galaxy S3 is also a great phone & you could get it cheaper. But if you simply have to have an IPHONE, I suggest you skip the iPhone 5 & wait for the 5s or 6 or whatever Apple will be releasing this year. Coz trust me, you'll regret getting the 5.
