Should I buy the iphone 6 plus with cash or finance it?
Right now I have about $10k in bank and am in college where I don't really have any expenses. Should I spend $780 outright for the iphone 6 or should I take advantage of their 12 month no interest financing offer for the iPhone 6? I'm thinking this would be a good idea since I have no credit history and maybe this would be a good time to establish credit as I plan on buying a car next year. What do you think?
If you trust yourself to make the payments, go for the free year (but pay it off in 10 months to be safe). [ Nothing wrong with the advice to buy it outright. ]
{Personally, I would look for a cheaper phone.}
I'm more concerned about how you are handling the $10,000. Is a good part of it in CD's.
Use 1 $1,000 CD as a pledge for a secured credit card and begin building credit that way, too.
- Will I be able to get the IPhone 5 on finance? As I'm sure your aware the iPhone 5 is around the corner, although I don't think I'm alone in saying I don't have £600 lying around! Will there be anyone offering a pay monthly scheme just for the handset NOT a phone contract in the UK?
- Should I get the new iphone 6s plus? Or should I just continue using my old iphone 6 plus? My dad said he would buy me it for thanksgiving but i feel like its the same thing as the iphone 6 plus and i kind of want to just wait for the iphone 7.
- Is it better to pay an iPhone in full or finance it? I'm buying an iPhone 7 plus soon but it will total out to over $800 after taxes. I have the money but i'm also trying to save up for school so I'm not sure if financing through Apple would be a good alternative?
