Added (1). I'm thinking of upgrading from the iPhone 6. I've decided I want to stay with iPhone because I don't want to start over again with an Android when I can restore from a backup.
I really want a better camera. However, I really dislike the removal of the headphone jack with the 7. One of the reasons I've favoured Apple is because I like the easy upload of my music from my Mac and the Apple Music system, so using it to play music is important to me. Is the 7 that much better than the 6s?

I like the iPhone S series, being more compact… But if they're about the same price I would go for the more recent number since that is more bragging rights.
I mean, when you buy an iPhone 7, you get the standard head set it comes with, which has a built in cable that just plugs into the charger / connector port, also known as the lightning connector. So you're not going to be without a head set.
BUT, if you charge your phone AND listen to music with a head set at the same time, you will need to get a splitter accessory, which will connect to the lightning port, and have two dongles, one for the charger, (which the iPhone 6 comes with), and one for any 3.5 mm headset jack for the head phones. So if you don't want to have to deal with that, i'd get the iPhone 6s. Especially when they announce iPhone 8 next month, expect the iPhone 6s to decrease further in price as well.
when i use my phone, especially in the car, i'll have it plugged in for charging, and a 3.5 mm male to male cord into the aux to use it like a bluetooth phone. Or to play music through my car. I'd have to get at least one of those adapter cords for two to one, and maybe a couple to leave one in my car all the time, and one at home

If you ask me, iPhone 7 is not worth upgrading to. I would rather go with iPhone 6S which I still have and it's amazing in performance and looks.
Well the better phone is the 7 so that should be the one of course, unless you are looking to save money.
