Should I get a tablet or laptop?

My computers broke and no way am I getting another as they're dated and just takes up to much space. Anyway. I'm unsure if I should get a decent laptop or a tablet or any similar device. I'm clueless of how good a tablet actually is, obviously there's different ones which ones so would you recommend? I don't want to pay over 450 pound. My main interests on this type of device is downloading/playing music, social networking and playing movies. It would have to be fairly fast, I hate slow devices. Also can you get iTunes on a tablet as I need that for my iPhone?

The thing with laptops and smaller devices is that size is traded for performance. Pound for pound a desktop will always perform better. My tower is under my desk which leaves plenty of room for keyboard wireless mouse and a flat monitor.

Desktop computers are dated? You may be a bit delusional there.

Very simple, tablet breaks… Throw it out, laptop breaks it might be repairable, pc breaks yay install new whatever's broken: P

Tablets are annoyingly slow usually, they break easy and are only good for messing about with and watching pictures and playing silly facebook games.

For business users there are some better applications for tablets but for the home user seriously laptop at least as those touch keyboards are a heap.

Get a laptop tablets hasn't reach what laptops storage or ram is or gaming graphics

Tablets have speakers too, but if I just wanted to listen to music I'd buy a hi-fi system instead of a tablet

Tablet are for casual surfing, games, etc. The storage capacity for this devices may be limited, so storing music and video may not be appropriate. Also, the screen size is limited.

Laptop are more suitable for long period of typing, graphics editing, etc, as well as those tasks that you do on tablet. Screen size on laptop can be larger than tablet, hence, provide better viewing experience.

Personally laptops are better then tablets in many ways and tablets rely way to much on battery and can't be replaced unlike laptops the battery can be replaced

Buy laptop rather than tablet.tablet is not so comfortable to do long run work. But laptop, you can do work at ease.
