Should I get the iOS 6.1 update on my iPhone 5?

It updates existing files and so does not take anymore space. The file itself is just a few MB.

Yes. If you have Wi-Fi connectivity issues it fixes that and at least for me on my 4S it seemed to improve battery life a bit. Also if you're looking to jailbreak your iPhone 5 then I recommend updating through iTunes and not OTA. The jailbreak should be released this Super Bowl Sunday so if you are going to jailbreak make sure to check out evasi0n.com

  • Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
