Should I spend my savings on a laptop?
I have some bond money that was given to me as a baby. IIm in my early twenties now and I don't think they ve even reached the full amount. I feel a little guilty buying a MacBook with part of them because it's only a few grand. However, I really need a computer. I've only been using my iPhone for about over a year now. I can't even back it up and I don't currently have a job. I like knowing that money s there for back up or I guess I always imagined myself using it for something greater. I don't know I like to hear your opinions before I make a big decision.
If money is that tight no you shouldn't.
Go to treasury direct and input what you know about the bonds and see what they are worth (and remember, the interest is taxable income to you). They aren't guaranteed to even double unless you hold them the full 30 years.
How old are you, and why don't you have a job? I think it's crazy to buy a laptop if you don't have a job, unless you're independently wealthy.

- What does Instant Savings with Contract mean? Http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/devices/apple/iphone/5-16gb-white-refurb.html#fbid=Pp2YZyxG-bJ I want to buy a phone from AT&T and it says the price is $149.99. The regular price was $599.99 and subtracted $450.00 with the instant saving with contract. I used to have Verizon but decided to switch to AT&T so I do not already have a contract with them. Does the instant saving with contract mean I have to have already a contract with them so the phone would cost $149.99?
