Should I update my iphone to iOS 7.1?
I have an iphone 4s, 16GB. I think the last update I did on it was probably 6.0. I haven't updated it for probably about a year or longer. I believe it's still running on iOS 5.9 even. If I download the latest update do you think it will essentially crash my phone? I never downloaded the updates because I never had enough room on my phone, but now it keeps crashing and will die at 10%. I'm thinking I might just not update it and get the samsung galaxy s4 because I need a new phone anyways.
There were problems with the first 7.0 update but those have been fixed. I was worried about updating my iPhone but it works fine running 7.04. You'll probably have to delete some things to have enough memory. But if you're going to get a new phone, then it doesn't really matter.
Yes, you should update to iOS 7.1, it includes many bug fixes like now you will get more juice from your batter, several performance improvement, change in the user interface design etc. Another option of getting Samsung Galaxy S4 is also preferable as Android has already occupied 81% of the market share and offers much more customization options than iOS. With Android you will know what is the benefits of having an Open Source Operating System

2. IOS 7.1 is currently in beta & can only be downloaded by developers
3. As far as downloading updates you could do so using iTunes on your computer. Much faster that way anyhow. The latest would be iOS 7.0.4.
- Update stopped during ios update own iphone now phones broke I connected my iPhone 4 to my computer (iTunes) and started doing the update through iTunes. About five minutes into the update iTunes in my computer stops working, causing the update to of course stop working. Now my phone will not turn on. On the screen it is black with the 'charge symbol' as if it were low on battery and an iTunes symbol. I have tried turning my phone off and on, but of course it didn't respond.
- Should i update to ios 8 or stick with ios 7 on my iphone 5? Cuz from experience i know ios 7 is really slow on iphone 4. So just wondering if anyone already updated to ios 8 on their 5. Is it worth it, any issues with the speed

- Should I update my iPhone 4 to iOS 6 or leave it on iOS 5? I'm currently using iOS 5.1.1 because I didn't want to lose google maps (which I use a lot) to shoddy apple maps but I've seen a google maps app on the app store now so do you think I should update to iOS 6? And what are the benefits?
