Should I use a digital camera, or iPhone 6 for taking pictures?

Obviously this question depends on the quality of the digital camera, I know. But I'm talking about one in particular. Let me start by saying I have VERY LITTLE real knowledge about cameras.

My friend just gave me a barely used Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX70. Its specs are here:

I think it's several years old and probably wasn't top of the line anyway… So I'm going to assume the quick answer is that my iPhone 6's camera is vastly superior in terms of quality… Right?

But I would like to know if there are ANY possible advantages to using this Panasonic camera instead of my iPhone… (e.g. Better for fast moving targets, like sports… Better in dark lighting… Better video options… Something like that). Any help is very appreciated!

Added (1). Thanks for the answers! I'm sure that digital cameras on the market now are probably superior to iPhone. However, the camera I'm talking about was made maybe 5 years ago and was probably an inexpensive one at the time. I'm not knowledgeable enough to compare the spec sheets of this particular camera and the iPhone 6 and understand the difference… But even THIS camera is capable of higher quality pics?

Forget the iPhone 6 as your primary camera

* The FX70 has an optical zoom lens (4.2x), the iPhone 6 does NOT
* FX70 sensor size is 6.08 x 4.56 mm, the iPhone 6 a 4.89x3.67 mm sensor. Larger sensors will always out perform smaller ones
* And yes, the FX70 has built-in Wi-Fi and can shoot Full HD video
* The FX70 also uses SD/SDHC/SDHX memory cards, so it is easy to copy image files to your computer
* The FX70 has built-in time lapse. I would personally use the camera, while it's not as portable; the quality would be better Photography is all about creativity and perspectives. You can even take great pictures with cheap Kodak Easyshare camera. Doesn't matter what cam you use, first learn how to take better photos with simple cams with less options. IPhone 6 does a great job taking almost any kinds of pictures especially when you're out and about and it's definitely more convenient to have around.

On the other hand, digital camera would be better if you after highest or more professional photo quality. That's a nice little camera, it has a better quality lens than your phone, with the ability to zoom in & out. If you have very little knowledge about cameras, don't dare use them. I heard they wake up at night and chew off the toes of their owners. Sell the camera to someone who knows how to keep it calm and behaved.
