Should Iphone 4s use data when i'm not using it?
Ok so i have an iphone with att… I usually turn off the data to not use up data… But i was wondering… What if i keep the data on, should data be used for any reason?
p.s. I have no email accounts turned on (no email accounts registered at all), notification are only on for phone, messages and calendar, location services are on for camera, maps… All my fetch data is done manually Thanks!
Then you have no problem to turn on the data!
so if you want to do something online the phone is always ready and connected
and don't worry about the bill, because as long as you don't have any emails or any thing the might use data or needs it, then you are safe
but there's always something that uses data, so make sure there on apps opened that user data, and believe me when I say:
\\\\iphone is filled with apps that needs to fed data!
- When using Kik messenger on iPhone with your data plan, how much mb does it use? I'm getting an iPhone, and I tend to use kik messenger a lot on my blackberry already. How much mb of Internet does Kik use to send and/or receive messages, and picture messages? Is 500mb too low for someone who tends to use it a lot without Wi-Fi? Answers are greatly appreciated.
- Using my O2 free mobile data in Spain - do I turn data roaming on or will this charge? It's now free to text and call and use mobile data in Europe and I'm on contract with O2 and have unlimited everything. I'm just wondering if on my iPhone I have to turn data roaming on to get this or will this charge me? How does it work? As when I turn on my mobile data without data roaming the 3G doesn't work until I actually turn on data roaming?
- If you are using Wi-Fi on an iPhone, do certain tasks use your data plan still? I know using Wi-Fi is very efficient to slow down your data plan usage, but does it completely eliminate using data out of a monthly data plan on phones or does it just cover part of your everyday tasks? Say I was on Wi-Fi and watched videos all the time, downloaded apps all the time, etc. And I was also under Verizon 4g. Would the Wi-Fi completely cover all of that browsing and usage or would any of the data "leak" from my data plan?
- If I keep my data on but also use Wi-Fi will it use my data? I just got an iPhone from us cellular. I use Wi-Fi to save data, but I can't receive group messages if my data isn't on. If I keep my data on all the time, but use Wi-Fi, will it use my data? And if I keep both on will it use my Wi-Fi instead of data?
