SIM card for iPhone not supported?
I recently bought a T-Mobile iPhone through Gazelle's ebay store. I went into the T-Mobile store and gt a sim and went home to activate one of the prepaid plans. When I went to activate my phone all that comes up in Sim Not Valid. It says that it is not supported under activation policy. What should I do?!
Added (1). Tommy thanks for responding! It was sold as a T-Mobile iPhone without a sim… I have tried to restore it from itunes and it hasn't worked.
You need to restore the device as new to complete the unlock process from AT&T. After that restore, you should see a message in iTunes saying Congratulations, your phone is unlocked. After that, you can continue with putting the foreign SIM into the device. Do you still have the AT&T SIM card?
The phone is not T-Mobile. It's locked to some other carrier. Get it unlocked first and then you can use the phone on T-Mobile. Check online for factory unlocking the iPhone, you can also mail me for help.
- SIM Card not supported after upgrading to 5.1.1? I have an iPhone 4 unlocked using Gevey Sim Pro and it was firmware 4.3.3 with baseband 4.10.01 i used snowbreeze to preserver the baseband and then proceeded to upgrade to 5.1.1 from itunes when it said that the SIM card is not supported. It was originally locked to rogers and i unlocked it to use fido. how do i fix this?
- Sim card no supported I bought a iPhone 7 mobile, but my sim card is no supported it says, how can I get it unlocked without going to a shop? I've contacted my company but it will take a week to sort out, I don't have a unlock sim either, there must be something I can do to unlock this surly
- SIM card from carrier not supported under the activation policy? I have an iphone passed down to me when the original owner upgraded. (its legal right?) I had my SIM card cut down size and now the phone tells me the SIM is not valid. The first owner was on contract with a company which is different to mine. Mine is EE. What do I do? I'm sure i'm not doing anything illegal.
