SIM Card not supported after upgrading to 5.1.1?
I have an iPhone 4 unlocked using Gevey Sim Pro and it was firmware 4.3.3 with baseband 4.10.01
i used snowbreeze to preserver the baseband and then proceeded to upgrade to 5.1.1 from itunes when it said that the SIM card is not supported. It was originally locked to rogers and i unlocked it to use fido.
how do i fix this?
Your phone might have been locked again due to the upgrade. You can permanently unlock your iPhone 4 by Remote unlocking. A lot of websites offer this unlocking service. I unlocked my phone at classicunlocking.com, and found their service and support to be good. Also, visit http://www.mobileunlockguide.com/apple-iphone-4, so that you can get a clear picture on how to unlock your iPhone using Remote unlocking, this site actually provides free mobile unlocking instructions!
- Will I be able to transfer my contract from a regular Sim card to a Micro Sim card? I want to buy an iPhone 4S on T-mobile, but my current T-mobile sim card is a regular one that would not fit in to the iPhone 4S. Would I be able to somehow move my contract on to the new Micro Sim?
- Will cutting my sim card work to use as a micro sim card? I just ordered an iPhone 4 and I need to cut the sim card to make it a Micro sim. Will it affect it. I have seen a bunch of video and already have the template it for it. I'm using simple mobile. Do you know if anything wrong happen to it?
- Sim card no supported I bought a iPhone 7 mobile, but my sim card is no supported it says, how can I get it unlocked without going to a shop? I've contacted my company but it will take a week to sort out, I don't have a unlock sim either, there must be something I can do to unlock this surly
- SIM card from carrier not supported under the activation policy? I have an iphone passed down to me when the original owner upgraded. (its legal right?) I had my SIM card cut down size and now the phone tells me the SIM is not valid. The first owner was on contract with a company which is different to mine. Mine is EE. What do I do? I'm sure i'm not doing anything illegal.
