Sound doesn't work on iPhone 5 after dropping it in water?

I dropped my iPhone in the bath when it was in its case. The case covered everything except the screen. I've done this before with my old iPhone but that was playing up constantly afterwards and then broke. The only thing I've noticed this time is that the sound has stopped working it says the volume but I can't hear it. I've tried turning the "ringer" on and off but nothing. I've turned it off and back on again but still nothing happens

This could be some water that has leached through the case and reached you sound wires. But my friend lost the sound on his ipad so I helped him by double tapping the home screen button then making sure the volume was up then I messed about with the settings.

  • Why do i keep having nightmares about dropping my iPhone in water? I keep having nightmares like last night when i dreamed i dropped my iPhone into my bathtub full of water and another time i dreamed i went swimming with it in my pocket. Why do i keep having such fearful dreams?
  • When I sing I sound good in my head but on recording it doesn't sound as good? I understand why this is but I want to know if it is because my iPhone recording quality isn't good. If not how do I actually listen to how others hear me sing.
  • Unresponsive screen after dropping it in water? So i dropped my iphone 4s in water. I tried to turn off my phone immediately but i had to eventually hard shut down my phone since the screen already stopped responding to touch. So i put it in rice and 5 days later, everything works fine except the screen. The screen turns on and is clear but does not respond when i touch it. Basically making my phone useless since i can't unlock it. Anything i can do?
  • Keep dropping my iphone in water for just a second? I like to listen to my phone in the bath but sometimes it gets knocked in for a second can it damage it badly because a always wipe it off straight away i've dropped it in twice so far and the only thing thats happened is the speaker stops working for a couple of hours
