Speakers for my iPhone 5 and my laptop?

I'm going to back to school in a few weeks and I want speakers that will service both my iPhone 5 and my laptop. Can I get regular speakers and then just get proper cords to service my iPhone and laptop or do I need something specific that is only made for iPhones and laptops?

I haven't bought speakers before and I really want some.

There are many colors to choose from. All do the same thing.

Note about amazon: you can buy amazon gift cards at rite aid or cvs and can also get free two day shipping if you are in college.

  • Using stereo speakers on laptop? How do I use pioneer cassette/cd player speakers on iphone or laptop? Since I think kind of electricity is needed for them to work. But i want to use them like normal speaker on my laptop. Is that possible?
  • Speakers on IPad and IPhone not working? The speakers on my iPad 2 are playing sound, but it sounds almost as though it were silent. I put it on full volume, and it just won't play high at all! I would need to put my ear to the speaker just to hear something. Also, if I put in headphones, no sound at all plays. I'm almost positive it has nothing to do with the settings because I tried that already. The iPhone won't play any sound at all, and it had nothing to do with the mute button.
  • Iphone got a little wet and the speakers arent loud enough anymore? I spilled something in my purse so my iphone got wet and the speakers aren't as loud anymore. I put the iphone in a tub of uncooked rice my question is will it work or are the speakers fried now?
  • I dropped my iPhone and now the speakers can't work Yeah, so I've dropped it a lot of times in the past but this is the first time it totally died on me. I could still receive calls and hear my ring tone (it sounds weird though) but I can't play songs on speaker now. I can't even watch videos using the speaker! Can I fix this? Or is my phone gone for good?
