StraightTalk carrier updates?

After updating my iPhone I started getting a pop-up asking to update me carrier settings? If I click for it to update will it ruin my service?

If they are actually from Straight Talk, it will not disrupt your service. I use Net10 and always get messages to update my browser, which I do not use, so I don't need to update.   • Straighttalk iPhone SIM activation for already Straighttalk activated phone? It says I need a $45 service plan card to activate the SIM card, but is there a way to do it without? My phone has $45 service plan active right now, my SIM card is just malfunctioning, so I need a new one. Or do I have to do it when I refill, no other option?
