Would an iPhone 5 work on Straighttalk?

Okay, so I'm getting an iPhone 5 in a few months, and I use StraightTalk. Will an AT&T iPhone 5 work with straight talk if i order one of the AT&T compatible sim cards off the ST website? I use an AT&T compatible ST SIM card with an AT&T LG Quantum C900. Also, could I get an AT&T iPhone 5 from an AT&T store without putting it on a plan or no?

No because Iphones don't use simcards actually.

I'm not certain about the iPhone 5, but the iPhone 4 could work for what you want to do, but ONLY If it's an AT&T iPhone that's been subsequently unlocked (or if it was purchased new unlocked directly from Apple). That's because only AT&T iPhone 4's use SIM cards - not Verizon or Sprint iPhones - and an AT&T iPhone will only work with an AT&T SIM card, unless it's been unlocked. Once you unlock it, it'll work with any SIM card.

P.S. Actually All iPhone 4s (not 4) have SIM card capability, not just AT&T ones - but the SIM card in a Verizon or Sprint iPhone only works outside the USA even if the phone's been unlocked.

Yes i use my 5 on straight talk $45 unlimited everything plan, and the data is faster then my sister on verizon.

  • Will StraightTalk work with a US Cellular phone? I recently started using straight talk for my phone carrier but I've been using an iPhone 5, and a person is selling a 6+, but it's a US Cellular phone. Would straight talk allow me to bring it over? I know that the phone is paid off and can be unlocked.
  • Using the iPhone 4S on StraightTalk? If I bought the iPhone 4S and purchased a StraightTalk SIM card, would I be able to use the iPhone on StraightTalk, or would I have to unlock the phone first and then use it?
  • Straighttalk iPhone SIM activation for already Straighttalk activated phone? It says I need a $45 service plan card to activate the SIM card, but is there a way to do it without? My phone has $45 service plan active right now, my SIM card is just malfunctioning, so I need a new one. Or do I have to do it when I refill, no other option?
  • Possible to flash a sprint iphone 4s to metro pcs or use it on straighttalk? Wondering if there's any way to flash a sprint iphone 4s to metro pcs? I hear they are both cdma networks. Any info if it works with all things like texting, calling, and data? What about using it on straight talk? Can you just buy that mini sim card and pop it in? I've seen the slot on the sprint iphone 4s. Can anyone give me info on both services? Much appreciated.
