Strange dream, don't understand?

I had a two-part dream.
First: My mother was an artist, who painted people in pop-art form. One person I remembered was literally Orange with Blonde hair. Then, it started raining, and we ended up outside under a shelter with two chihuahuas who kept trying to go outside. End of that part.
Second: I was in my early childhood class, but it looked like next year or so. I was with a friend who I shared a chemistry class with. So in this dream, I was using his iPhone 5, posting on his social profiles saying 'lol, i'm gay'. Anywho, he kept smiling and talking to his friends, and looking at me, and smiling. Needless to say, later on, he bought me an iPhone 5, and various luxuries, (expensive purse, watch, etc.) only to say that he wants to be friends with benefits(hit it and quit it). I have a boyfriend, and have no interest in my friend, what could this mean?

First: maybe you are discovering your artistic side
Second: You may have subconsciously realized that the friend has interest in you.alternatively, you may be dissatisfied in your current boyfriend and wish he was more like your friend. Or maybe you are telling yourself that you depend on this friend in "hit is and quit it" manner as you put it- you may be wanting a more meaningful friendship in general.
