Swam in the sea with iphone 5

Dad told me to put the phone in my pocket and i listened to him and guess what? I forgot to take it off my pocket and jumped into the sea with and asthethic pose… Then swam for like 5 mins. I remembered that it was in my pocket and hurried to the bay, i dried it with a towel and pressed the home button but it was turned off already even though it was ON before the swim. Tried to turn it on but no response. Left it under the furious sunlight of turkey for like 15 mins, it was hot enough to burn my hands. I kept drying it but no hope. I went home and plugged in the charger but again it gives no response, any thing i can try to fix this myself? Please give an answer with evidential and logical explanation and don't just say 'no.' so that i will know you know what you are doing.

Probably better off getting a new phone. Even if it does turn back on, there will be damage that will make the phone glitchy.

Put it in rice.

Be more careful with the replacement.

5 seconds in the wet is awful. 5 minutes is an eternity that there probably is no coming back from. Keep trying the rice but honestly with salt water for 5 minutes, I don't see much hope. Best luck.
