Tesco broadband. Can I get a stronger Wi-Fi signal?
I have Tesco unlimited broadband. It works fine but was wondering if anyone else has trouble with a weak signal when you are say 10-15 meters away through a couple of walls?
My laptop picks up 2 out of 5 bars in signal but my iPhone 5 gets nothing at all.
Could I upgrade my router? And if so, what would be a good one? Is there such a thing as a signal strength chart or anything like that? Just thought I'd ask.
Wireless signals are easily blocked by walls and other obstacles, especially concrete floors/walls. There's nothing you can do about this with software upgrades. That's how radio signals work - the fastest your connection, the more easy is to block it.

You can do loads of things for a Wi-Fi signal. Try making a windsurfer reflector (google it). Get a better router. Try a Netgear WNDR3700. Good for the price and great signal strength.
If you purchase another router and place it at the opposite side of the house you will get really good reception.

But then I try to connect it to my Windows 7 desktop, and it says that it's experiencing connectivity issues?
