This cable is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone?

I have had this message before, but my phone was plugged in. This time I was at a concert wearing a bag that was loose on my body and my phone was in it. It could be easily taken out without me noticing. I took it out and the message appeared. Is it possible that someone plugged something in to my phone and put a virus or something on it? Or am I just being paranoid?

It's highly doubtful that happened. Plus why! People are so stupid though so I could see your paranoia. I don't think you could, apple has the iPhone very locked up so they could not have accessed it very easily. Don't worry! If you notice speed changes, restore it to itunes and it wouldn't be there.

Hope this helps!

  • This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone? I have a life proof case and I took it under water. I noticed some water inside the case so I took it off and saw that there was water on the outside of the phone. Ever since then a note pops up every 15-30 seconds saying "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this phone". What should I do? Is there a way to fix it? My phone is virtually unusable since this annoying message keeps popping up. Any help would be appreciated.
  • This cable is not recommended for this iPhone and may not be reliable? I recently bought a new but un-Apple-certified lightning cord for my iPhone 5c, but this error message has started popping up after about using it about 5 times. Now, my phone is completely dead, and I have no money to buy a new cable, no cable that will charge my phone, and a dead phone. I'm completely desperate for help here, since, like a cliche white girl, my phone is my life.

  • IPhone 5s charger not certified for iPhone? I have been using the apple charger that came with my phone for a while now. It has been working fine but just today I started getting the "this accessory is not certified for this iPhone." Does anyone know how to fix this? It just started out of nowhere and now my phone is almost out of battery
