This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone?

I have a life proof case and I took it under water. I noticed some water inside the case so I took it off and saw that there was water on the outside of the phone. Ever since then a note pops up every 15-30 seconds saying "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this phone". What should I do? Is there a way to fix it? My phone is virtually unusable since this annoying message keeps popping up. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like some water got in the USB port.
first off, I'd demand my refund for the case. For a product specified to be water- PROOF. It failed and as such damaged your phone.
if you debated this hard enough with the company, they'd probably see to it that your phone gets replaced

  • Why does a message on my iPhone keep popping up that that This accessory may not be supported? Why does a message on my iPhone keep popping up that that "This accessory may not be supported"? I'm charging it if that makes a difference but I'm using the charger that came with the phone.
  • This cable is not recommended for this iPhone and may not be reliable? I recently bought a new but un-Apple-certified lightning cord for my iPhone 5c, but this error message has started popping up after about using it about 5 times. Now, my phone is completely dead, and I have no money to buy a new cable, no cable that will charge my phone, and a dead phone. I'm completely desperate for help here, since, like a cliche white girl, my phone is my life.
  • This cable is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone? I have had this message before, but my phone was plugged in. This time I was at a concert wearing a bag that was loose on my body and my phone was in it. It could be easily taken out without me noticing. I took it out and the message appeared. Is it possible that someone plugged something in to my phone and put a virus or something on it? Or am I just being paranoid?
  • This accessory may not be supported iPhone 4 I have an iPhone 4 and I have a usb for it which I use to charge it up with on my laptop. Whenever I plug it in it will charge for like 2 seconds and then the message "This accessory may not be supported" appears on my iPhone and stops charging. I have to wiggle the usb wire around a few times before it starts charging again. Do I need a new charger?
