This is for all iPhone users of England?

So, basically I listen to BBC Radio 1 (comment if you do too) and I want to send them a text (not desperately) and as you know in England you need 11 numbers in a normal number but they only say that their number is 81199 so? I don't know how to send a text with only 5 digits? Anyone know how to send, I d love if you do.

You do not need 11 numbers, a personal phone number will be randomised like 978-xxx-xxxx. I think, but I'm not entirely sure, those numbers are automated numbers and you can't call them. You can text it and they will receive the text but it can't make calls or receive them.

They are called short codes. You send the message to the number given without any additional numbers.

Having an iPhone is irrelevant.

There are numbers that are shorter than standard numbers that companies purchase to make it easier to reach them. Just enter the given digits.

If you're *in* England you can text that mobile shortcode straight up. They don't work internationally.

Short codes are provisioned on a country-by-country basis. A short code is only able to send messages to, and receive messages from, same-country phone numbers on carrier networks that have approved the short code. UNLESS the providers are both signed up for Customized Applications for Mobile networks Enhanced Logic (CAMEL) only your service provider customer serves can tell if this is the case.

  • Will updated iPhone 4 work for all AT&T users? I was using an AT&T iPhone 4 for a while and then got a new phone because my contract ended so I went into iTunes and reset the iPhone to get rid of all my apps and stuff but the factory reset also updated it to the newest iOS (6.1.3 or something like that) and baseband. If I give or sell my phone to another AT&T user will they be able to use it? Granted they have the micro SIM card.
  • Will my iPhone 4 work in England? I'm going overseas this summer and fall for studying, and was wondering if I can have a contract over there, keeping my same iPhone. My carrier is Verizon.
  • Will current iPhone 5 users get all iOS 7 features? Will i get the Slo-motion update and burst mode when updating to iOS 7? and another question, will there be any iPhone 5 in stores? Not iPhone 5c because it looks cheap.
  • Why do users of an android have worse quality of posted instagram photos than users of ios? I have an AndroidOne smartphone and I noticed that having posted a photo it has worse quality than the same photo but of the user of an iphone. Does anyone know why? Ia there any explanation?
