Tmobile, ATT, Prepaid Options

I'm looking into getting a new phone (right now I have a cheap net10 basic phone with sim card)

My husband recently got an iphone and was able to put it on Straight Talk's service.

I don't care for Apple. I want a Galaxy… Any one really… But I'm a little lost with all these options.

Some straighttalk phones don't work where I live (CDMA) but the GSM seem to work fine except I had a Tmobile last year and it did NOT get good signal here… But I thought they worked off the same network (GSM)

I was going to get a galaxy and put it on Net10's service but they only have sim cards compatible with old Tmobile phones… But I had Tmobile and it didn't work…

Really I'm looking for PREPAID Galaxy or something similar… Best way to do it, cheapest, where it will work here (ATT works GREAT here)

Any help is appreciated.

I say go with Red Pocket, they use AT&T cell towers and have some good cheap plans.

Net10 and Straight Talk buy airtime from AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon.

AT&T and Tracfone/Net10/Straight Talk recently had a falling out. So Tracfone/Net10/Straight Talk are trying not to use AT&T towers for service.

Since you live where CDMA models of phones are not sold and T-Mobile is available where you live, your new phone is going to use T-Mobile towers for service. You may be able to ask Straight Talk to switch your phone to use AT&T towers if your phone is not working. The only way you can do this is by calling Tracfone/Net10/Straight Talk and complaining that your phone is not getting service. You may have to call customer service a few times before you can get them to transfer your service from T-Mobile to AT&T.

You may just want to use AT&T prepaid service and pay a little more per month over Straight Talk or Net10. But you will know that your phone will have service when you want to call someone.
