Tmobile no contract unlocked iphone 6?

So i'm a little confused about the tmobile no contract iphone 6. I understan that you can buy it and put in a att sim card and use it for att but i want to use it as an ipod only. Will it work without the cim card or a carrier? Please tell me what i need to do <3 and please don't say i should get the ipod 5 i have it and its just dying on me

Why are you confused? The NO CONTRACT phone is full retail price. So you buy the phone at full retail, and you do not have to use it on TMO, because they unlock it. BUT if you decide to use it on another GSM carrier, you may not get 4G LTE (unless the TMO and At&t phones have all the same frequencies for data).

If you are going to pay for the iPhone out right, do so from At&t or Apple. It will still cost you full retail, but you will for sure get a phone that will work as it should on At&t.

  • Will no-contract iPhone 6 for Tmobile work on other GSM phones? I'm thinking of buying iPhone six with full price, without a contract. I understand that this will be sim locked to T-Mobile. How/when can I get it unlocked from T-Mobile? When I travel internationally not sure how this is gonna work out!

I want to get an iPhone 4S and my friend has the iPhone 4 unlocked but i'm worried that if i get it non-factory unlocked it won't work. My uncle tried to do it a couple of months ago and apple said that if it was factory unlocked every time the phone shut off or died it would reset. I was just wondering if the same thing would happen if it wasn't factory unlocked? So if I get it unlocked everytime it will shut off it will reset? That is what i'm worried about.

  • Tmobile user should buy jailbreak iPhone or factory unlocked iPhone? Hello guys I'm a tmobile customer. I want a iPhone desperately. Now do you think it's worth it to save $650 for a factory unlocked iPhone. Or save a few bucks in buying an AT&T iPhone and jailbreaking it? What are the pros and cons of it. What do you think?
