Tmobile switching to iphone, what do i need to do?
My Tmobile samsung galaxy s2 broke and my friend is giving me her old iphone 5. What do I need to do to get it to work with my sim card and memory etc.
It's not jailbroken or anything. Do I need to do that? And do I need to notify my provider or anything?
If it is a T-Mobile phone or a factory unlocked (directly from Apple) phone then all you need to do is switch your SIM card.
If it is not a T-Mobile phone, you can still use it if it is an AT&T phone.AT&T would have to unlock it (which the owner would have to do, and AT&T will not do if it has been reported lost or stolen or is linked to an account that is not in good standing). If it is a Sprint or Verizon phone it is not usable on T-Mobile.
- Would switching my iPhone 5 for a iPhone 4S be stupid? I think the iPhone is great but I like iPhone 4S design better and aren't they pretty much the same just with a few more features? Would it be a dumb move?
- Switching to iPhone 8. Need help with this particular thing? So I've has a prepaid iPhone 6s Plus for awhile now and I know with AT&T you can remove the SIM card and put it into another phone with at&t or if it's unlocked. Could you do that with the prepaid SIM card, cause I'm buying an unlocked iPhone 8 Plus off a friend.
- Switching iphone 5 tmobile to family mobile? I was wondering if you were able to switch an iphone 5 from T-Mobile to family mobile because i used to have an iphone 5 on family mobile but it broke and i can only find an iphone 5 for T-Mobile.
- Switching from Tmobile to Verizon? I really would like the iPhone but T-Mobile does not carry it. Right now I have a Blackberry Curve. Our family plan consisting of two people right now is around $145 a month. Only my phone has internet an unlimited texting, my mom has like 400 texts a month or something like that. How much would the cost be raised if we changed our plan to Verizon? It still would be the same with just myself with a smart phone.
