Transferring my Iphone 4 data to my new Iphone 5?
I recently just bought the iphone 5. I was wondering if i took my sim card from the 4 it would not get rid of my secret folder info. Please tell me how to transfer the data without losing the info.
1st off the iPhone 5 uses nanoSIMs vs the iPhone 4's microSIMs. You'd have to either get a new nanoSIM or cut the microSIM to nanoSIM size to use it in the iPhone 5.
SIM cards don't store media so I'm not sure what you mean by "secret folder info".
To transfer the data, you back up the data on the 4 & then restore from that back up on the 5.iTunes is what you use to do this. You right click the iPhone 4 to see the option to backup & you would also see the option to restore from the backup to use on the iPhone 5 as well.
To help you transfer videos, music and photos from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5, you need a third party other than iTunes. To this extent, you can refer to iTransfer, a tool exclusively designed for transferring data between Apple devices. What you get to do is to transfer the data from iPhone 4 to computer and them transfer the data from computer to iPhone 5. However, the app only works when you get an iTunes beforehand.
Using the 4, create a back up to iTunes on your computer. Then on the 5 connect it to the computer and restore it from the most recent back up. All data will be transferred to the new phone.
- With my new iPhone 7 plus if I set it up as a new phone instead of moving my iCloud data to the new phone would I lose my? Unlimited data plan and phone number or would that still be there I already put my SIM card in 10 points
- Transferring old iPhone pics into new iPhone? I bought an iPhone 5s yesterday. My old phone was a 4s. I had a lot of important pictures on it. How can I put them all in my new phone's camera roll? I really don't want to download them from iTunes because that will put them in a folder that can only be manipulated from my laptop. I want them in my regular camera roll. Can I use photo stream to send them to my new phone and save them from there? Is there any way I can use iCloud to transfer them?
- Transferring iPhone data to new MacBook I recently got a new MacBook, and want to transfer the music and data from my iPhone to this mac. I usually back my phone up with my account on our family desktop Mac, but now I have my own and want to get my phone songs on my laptop iTunes. I happened to e-mail myself a couple of songs from my desktop to my laptop, and I hope that's not a problem. Can you tell me what I can do to transfer my iPhone data to my new laptop that already has some e-mailed songs?
- Transferring game data from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5? I want to transfer all the game data from my iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5 (when it comes out).Is it possible? And I'm talking about in-game data, not just the actual games/syncing. It would be nice if someone could explain how to do it or a post a link to something that does.
