Trying to restore my iphone 6 with forgotten passcode and touch id?
Hi so I been trying restore my iphone for the past days and I just can't get thru my iphone my friend changed everything and she forgot the passcode. So in middle of restoring my iphone it askes me for my my passode to enter on iphone in order to finish the process but I don't know it so I don't know what to do my iTunes is up to date everything is up to date. So is there any other way for me to go around it or am I just out of luck ANYONE Please WITH THIS SIMILIAR SITUATION can I get some help please. Appreciated much.
Apple always offer you the chance to set up secondary recovery email addresses to reset those things.
If you failed to take that opportunity then you're stuffed.
Not sure how your friend managed to change those things as she'd need your passcode, Apple ID and ICloud password to do that. If you allowed her access to them then she could have reset all the recovery options as well.
Enter DFU mode:
Plug your device into your computer with a USB cable.
Turn off the device.
Hold the Power button for 3 seconds.
Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds.
Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button.
After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode.
Once iTunes has detected that it is in Recovery Mode, you will get the option to restore your device. You will lose everything on the phone unless you have previously done a backup via iCloud.
- Will restoring my iPhone on my iTunes unlock my forgotten passcode? I put a new passcode on then stupidly forgot it and nkw I can't get in because i'm getting it wrong. I've read to restore it on the computer which I'm doing now but i'm scared it won't work. What do I do if it doesn't? And will it work?

I have tried to restore it, but it keeps saying that the phone has a passcode on it and and you need to get rid of it before you can restore it. But because I have forgotten the passcode, I can't do it this way. But when ever I try and do it through DFU mode, the same message still comes up half way through 'extracting files'… Any other ways?

Is there a way to bypass the passcode screen or just get rid of the passcode altogether? Also, if I were to restore the iPhone to factory settings then restore it from a backup of the iPhone, will it still keep the passcode?
