Unactivated Iphone 5= internationally unlocked Iphone 5?
I'm going to the usa for 1 week, and would like to know if the Unactivated Iphone 5= internationally unlocked Iphone 5?
i saw it on best buy & other shops, Iphone 5 16Gb (650$-700$) "Unactivated", does that mean its unlocked? When i'm back to egypt, or travel anywhere, when i put my sim it will work?
"Unactivated" does not mean that it is unlocked. It only means that it has not been used yet.
- Will an unactivated iPhone work? I believe I have found a way to get a new never activated 32gb iPhone 4S for free! However, with the expense of iPhones, I couldn't possibly pay service for it. Would it work like an iPod? If so, would GPS work? It could still use Wi-Fi right, it would just say no sim card in the top left corner? I don't know, please answer.
- Will a verizon iphone 4s show that you have service even if unactivated? I have verizon iphone 4s… There's "no service" showing in the top left corner. The iphone does in fact have NO service from verizon because i didn't pay any for it but my question is would the phone have service showing there regardless of if i'm able to use it? Like I want to make sure it's not a hardware issue.

- Is there a way of unlocking my unactivated iPhone 4 with my incompatible Optus sim? Bought an iPhone 4 off my friend that had been unlocked using a french sim type, so i'm having troubles with unlocking it using my Optus sim which is incompatible. Help I'm not sure how to factory unlock it while its unactivated i don't know what to do.
