Updating an unlocked iPhone 4 on 4.3.3 to iOS 6?
I have an iPhone 4 on 4.3.3 version, firmware 04.10.01. My phone is unlocked via Gevey sim and I have no idea how to go about updating my phone to iOS 6. Will I still be able to unlock my iPhone via the same Gevey sim that was used to unlock my iPhone at 4.3.3? If not, is there an unlock for iOS 6 phones? And can I do this with my macbook?
Another option is to get a factory unlock. A factory unlock such as those you can get at iPhoneUnlockedCheap.com are permanent and updates do not affect these type of unlocks (unlike a jailbreak or other types of unlocks)
- Will updating my unlocked iPhone 3GS lock it again? My phone is on 4.1 and I wish to update it can I do so without it locking again? And if so can I do it on iTunes?
- Will updating my iPhone to iOS 6 unban me? My Instagram account was disabled for whatever stupid reason, but if I were to update my iPhone 4S to the new iOS 6 beta, would I be able to use Instagram again? I've made a new account, and it says my account has been disabled. It banned my phone via the UDID. Instagram works on my ancient iPod Touch though.
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
- Will updating from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 remove everything? I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
