Updating iPhone 4 to iOS 6 software without itunes?
My phone said it can update software but apparently without needing to connect it to iTunes. So its updating software now but through the phone by itself. Is this normal?
Yeah you can update that way with Wi-Fi it will be fairly fast, I always use itunes because thats the fastest way and the connection won't drop, etc.

- Will updating my iPhone's software delete purchased apps and songs? I'm going to update my iPhone's 6.1.4 software to ios 7 when it is released in a few days. Some of my apps aren't available in the App Store anymore so will the update delete these apps off my phone?
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
