Will updating my iPhone's software delete purchased apps and songs?
I'm going to update my iPhone's 6.1.4 software to ios 7 when it is released in a few days. Some of my apps aren't available in the App Store anymore so will the update delete these apps off my phone?
No there shouldn't be a problem at all I did it and everything was good
What was causing the problem for me was the eBook "Alice in Wonderland" that comes with iBooks. Seems it was "purchased" on both my iPad and my iPhone, and thus not syncing properly. I deleted it from my library and tried "transfer purchases" again. It transferred the book, and the message went away.
- Would updating the software on my iPhone (4s) delete everything off it? So I just got a notification to my phone that said new software update. I clicked close because I didn't know wheather it would delete everything off my phone. But if I do update my software, will everything be deleted off of it?
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
- Problems updating software on iPhone? I recently attempted to update the software on my iPhone from IOS 5.0 to 5.1. However, after iTunes backed up my phone and extracted the old software, it forcefully ejected my phone from the program. When I attempt to turn the phone, it tells me to plug it into iTunes, as there's currently no software on the phone, but iTunes no longer recognizes the phone as a device. Any suggestions on how I could put the software back on my phone so I can use it without having to go to the Apple store?
- Is ''Iphone'' software only or hardware and software? I've never had an Iphone. I always see it anounced in an absolutely black device, such as this one: http://pective.com/m/iphone-5 I wonder whether, when you're going to buy one, you go to the apple store and buy the whole thing, or look for a Nokia or Sony smartphone and then go to the Apple website and buy and download the software into your device.
