Updating jailbroken iPhone 4 to ios 7?

What happes if I update my jailbroken iPhone 4 to iOS 7? I've wanted to get rid of my jailbreak for some time anyways. I'm just curiouse what would happen.

Nothing would happen other than you would be on iOS 7 with no jailbreak.

There's no way to move back down either, so make sure the 4 is going to be fine on iOS 7.

I had an original iPad that went useless after iOS5 update.

  • Will updating (to 6.1.4) a jailbroken iPhone 5 on 6.1.2 brick it? So I'm updating to the beta version of ios 7, but first I need to uninstall my Evasi0n jailbreak and update to 6.1.4. Will just pressing the update button in iTunes brick my iPhone, or will I just loose the jailbreak? If this will brick it, what is the best way to go about restoring my iPhone?
  • Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
  • Will updating from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 remove everything? I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
  • Updating jailbroken iPhone 4s iOS 5.1.1 to 6.1.3 help needed? Full story: I bought my iPhone off a friend, who previously got it on bill pay, but stopped paying the bill, so they disabled the phone. He got the phone jailbroken to bypass that, and now the phone is working properly, pay-as-you-go, but it is jailbroken. The phone will NOT work without being jailbroken. I was wondering how do I update it from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 6.1.3? (Keeping in mind it NEEDS to be jailbroken to work)
