Upgrading iPhone contract early?

I've had my iPhone 7 for almost 2 years now and my contract end in early September. However, when I go on my EE it says my standard upgrade is early August. I'm going on holiday on the 20th of July and I was thinking about getting a new phone for then. How do I end my contract early and get my phone in time for the holiday. My friend was telling me something about having to call the company a lot earlier to get the new phone and I'm just not sure.

You would have to call the company and pay off your contract earlier.

If you're going on holiday in July you won't need a phone then. Wait til you come back at which point your contract will be just about up so it won't be an issue.

Let your contract lapse. You will be month to month that way. See what another provider would charge you, including getting your new phone from them. Your old provider might offer you something as a deal - or not. We left ATT and 2 of us went to Consumer Cellular (same towers!) saved a ton on our service ( no contract - can leave anytime) AND got 2 new iPhone 8+ with a portion down, The rest added to our bill at $25 each per month. Even if you do NOT change phone companies - see what making them a little nervous will do for you. There are no FREE PHONES - those companies just build that expense into your CONTRACT - no escape. Be smart - shop around - and WAIT. Your current company wants to grab you and make you trapped. Haha! Be smart! Enjoy your vacation.

  • What incentives can I expect for upgrading to iPhone 5 with O2 at end of contract? At the end of April 2013, I complete my 24 month contract with O2 and the iPhone 4. At the end of March 2013 I can upgrade to the iPhone 5 a month early. I see that a new customer can get the iPhone 5 64GB for £209.99 and also have to pay £47 (I currently pay about £43) per month for 24 months, so what incentive can I expect for upgrading rather than just signing up as a new customer or just going elsewhere? A cheaper iPhone, lower monthly fee or something else?
  • Upgrading to Iphone 5 in contract? Hi, I'm still in contract with an iphone 3gs which end at the beginning of 2014. I would like to buy the iphone 5. Can I just buy an unlocked one from apple and use my 3gs sim in it? Will everything work the same? Also what are my other options?
  • Is there a way to get sprint to let you upgrade early from a 2 year contract? I have 2 iPhone SE's I got with sprint for free with a 2 year contract. It will be exactly a year i've had the contract in june this year and my contract does not end until june 2018. I've been having problems with the phone getting over heated and shutting off. I want to uprgrade to a iPhone 7 with financing. Everytime I call they tell me with a attitude to either wait another year or pay a $350 termination fee for each device.
  • Should I get iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S? No contract or with contract? I don't know what exactly is so much better with the 5 compared to 4S? I'm thinking to get it with no contract because I'll be in Europe over the summer so I'll need another contract over there for a few months so that likely wouldnt work if I got a 2 year contract here in the US is the 5 much more expensive than the 4s? and does the price vary a lot if I buy with/without contract?
