USB Drive.iPhone.won't turn on JAILBROKEN?

I need help with my iPhone, 3Gs, iOS 5.1

i downloaded USB drive, i put it on drive + iTunes. But it only reads as a drive. My iPhone turned off D: since it reads as a drive.redsn0w isn't detecting a device.somebody help!

Added (1). Almost forgot.tethered jailbreak. It turns on but is stuck on boot logo

I think you may have bricked your iPhone, have you tried to hold the home and power button? (Escape DFU mode)

I checked the website in the source and it says Drive+iTunes mode replaces the PTP interface with mass storage, personally I would avoid any Cydia product that mentions replacing critical system files.

I think what it may have tried to do was replace a more updated version of the PTP interface with a earlier version of the replacement interface - mass storage in this case, thus causing a compatibility issue on your iPhone causing it to stop working.

  • Why is Apple so keen to push USB-C with their Macbooks but they don't include USB-C on the iPhone? It seems like the Macbook department at Apple thinks USB Type C is the best thing since sliced bread but the iPhone department thinks USB Type C is work of the devil.
